  The prodigal son and the elder brother. We are both, it's in us all. We are weird people. We stand in the presence of unlimited unconditional love that says I forgive you. We say yea right! We go through life believing we are half way forgiven and the other half we are suspicious of God, ever clinging to our guilt and shame, always beating ourselves up over it.   We all were in the deepest depths of darkness and sin. To those who have received Jesus, we've been exalted by his finished work and he has made a kingdom of priests unto God. We are the exalted ones. You are not SINNERS ANYMORE! We don't cringe before God every week saying, "have mercy on us poor wretches." We are exalted people who from the throne praise God that he has had mercy on us to his delight and joy. Most Christians don't understand what God wants. They don't know who he is. They think he's a judge and comes to beat us up. They think his purpose is to mark off all our sins and say I'll get you for that. Instead of realizing that he's the ultimate lover. You say he doesn't care about sin? Oh YES! But he doesn't get rid of sin by marking it and threatening you that he's going to punish you for it. He gets rid of sin by pouring his love inside of you and changing you from the inside out. Leviticus Part 2

  As we continue to look at the priests, we'll be answering some questions. What did they wear and why? How did they live? How were they consecrated? How were they chosen? Who now is chosen? There's only one person God ever chose, Jesus. Everybody who is joined to him is chosen. None of us deserve to be chosen, but you belong to the right family by faith in Jesus Christ.   The prodigal son tries to bring his father into his world of sorrow, guilt, judgment, and punishment by saying I'm not worthy, I have sinned. But the father brings the son into his world where relationship is established on forgiveness, reconciliation, and unconditional love, not guilt and shame and condemnation. There is no condemnation in Christ. You've been swept up into the arms of the Father who is unconditional love. You've been carried home by his own doing, he did it. It is right to celebrate! Leviticus Part 1

God chose Aaron to be his priest. Aaron's son's were chosen because they were in Aaron when he was chosen. Those alone had a right to draw near to God. They were the representatives of the people. When they drew near to God, it was as if all the other people did too. So through Aaron and his sons, all Israel was blessed and through Israel was the whole world to be blessed. Israel missed it in that they became introverted and spent their entire life praising themselves that they were chosen. It wasn't meant to be that way. It was meant to be they were chosen and in their high priest all the blessings of God were ministered to them. They in turn took of those blessings and were supposed to proclaim them to the world. So this priesthood was the key to the blessing of the entire world.   The Holy Spirit has come to untwist us. We are to be conformed into the image of Jesus! I'm still waking up to new discoveries of who God is. It goes beyond all you can think, ask, or imagine.   What is sin? Sin is not trusting God's love. Sin is allowing that satanic thought to get into our heads that God is not really good. That God is not really love, he's not kind, not compassionate, not limitlessly for us, that he is withholding. Sin is having a distorted image of God, an idol image out of which comes my sadness and the reason I run away from him. I'm running from an idol. The real God pursues me!
