Exodus Part 6

  In this episode we will be dealing with the 10 miracles/plagues. These are a declaration of God's name before pharaoh. The discouragement and opposition of pharaoh was only in order that God may show his power to Egypt. God's positives are always expressed in a negative. All of our discouragements are only the womb of God's miracles. The miracles/plagues fall into 3 sets of threes, then the last which is the death of the first born. The Power of Righteousness Part 1

One of the major problems in the church if not the root of all problems in the church is "guilt", Guilt plagues the church. The church has no sense of righteousness. They say "I'm not perfect just forgiven." When you were born again, you are declared the same as your covenant head and that is "justified". You are brought into a "right standing" with God in Christ Jesus. We are welcomed into the family of God the same as Jesus is. "As he is so are we." We are not dribbling beggars, you never find Paul feeling sorry for himself or saying how bad he is and he was a murderer. Paul would say, you are complete in him, and we are seated with him in heavenly places. But if there is guilt, we live in a sense that we failed God, and now I feel I must try harder to please him. Exodus Part 5

Moses has returned to Egypt but not willingly. He has brought up every argument he could to God in order to evade the call, but he is here. He is very aware that God has sent him and sent him with great power. So he goes in before pharaoh and says exactly what God has told him to say and pharaoh mocks him, slams the door in his face and even increases the burdens on the Israelite slaves. Now Moses' own people have turned on him too. The first thing you'll ever walk into when you begin to exercise faith is discouragement. What Moses is guilty of here the Israelites are going to be guilty of in a few months time in the wilderness. Moses has to deal with it in himself first, then he's going to be able to deal with it in Israel. I Feel Helpless Part 2

Exodus Part 4

  In this episode we will be dealing with Moses before Pharaoh. Moses has received the call, God has heard the cry of Israel because of covenant. Now Moses is heading back to Egypt with a staff in his hand knowing only two things, that God has revealed his name to Moses (I am that I am), and the Pharaoh will not heed his word. I Feel Helpless Part 1

 We will be looking at Psalms 46, believed to be written by the prophet Isaiah and the story of Hezekiah and Sennacherib. I want to see the history behind that Psalm so it can teach us how to handle the circumstances and pressures of life that evoke fear. Because it's not enough to be singing the right words and saying the right words, but we have to have an encounter with the Living God. We have to know him in his person and the reality of his power. You have to experience him. The only way you can experience God is in the pressures and the negatives of life. Only in tt crucible do you really know he exist. Exodus Part 3

In this episode we will be dealing with the call of Moses. This is the first time a man is specially called of God. We can expect to find the elements of a man being called. I would expect to find all the problems in man and all the opposition in man and all the problems that go with it. I would find also all the things God would say to him and anything that comes afterward in working of miracles. I would expect to find the seed of all that follows. So this call of Moses and the events around that call become significant in our study of the whole scripture. The Birth of Jesus Part 6

Something happened in the east to get them excited and ready to travel across nations to see this king. Why did they turn up when they did? Why did they first go to see Herod? The Birth of Jesus Part 5

  Simeon was waiting for the consolation of Israel. What is that? It's an echo from Isaiah 40. They were waiting for the day when God himself would deal with sin. The day when they would know the freshness of the Kingdom of God. When he would have taken away the filth of sin and establish his kingdom of righteousness, peace and joy. When God would fulfill all the words of the prophets and God would console those who looked for salvation.
