When I take of the cup, I understand that I have in my hand the title deed of everything the cross of Jesus accomplished. When I drink the wine and eat the bread I'm flinging a challenge into the spirit world against principalities and powers of darkness and I'm saying, "It's Finished"! We are not trying to get the victory, we are proceeding from the victory. This is the secret of using temptation. Don't see temptation as the enemy but the necessary confronting of the negative for the glorious positive of our life in Christ to blaze forth. We can't show forth the life of Christ in a vacuum. He is seen over and against the negative of the flesh. Lazarus had to die before he could be raised. The power of Jesus to raise the dead can only be seen with a dead body. Trial and temptation are allowed in our lives to draw out of us the fullness of the life of Christ. The Good Fight of Faith Part 3

So what is fear? Fear is a garrison that is made of thoughts. It's a fortress, a stronghold within me that is made of thoughts. This stronghold is an established thought pattern that's hostile to God. Our battles in church, families and cities are battles of faith. On one side you have God's covenant people whose faith is in their covenant God. God has given himself to them by the blood of covenant, they belong to him. That's their faith, their stronghold in their mind. The Lord is my rock and my fortress. On the other side is the enemy. Their faith is in their human strength. So if the enemy has a fortress of fear inside my mind, he's got a fortress inside God's camp. 1000's will met out on Sunday and shout their battle cry and run like a wimp come monday morning. The Blood Covenant Part 14

We "put on" the behavior of Christ because abiding in him, being present to him, knowing who we are in Christ, we know such behaviors to be the truth. He never asks us to be who we are not. In scripture, the garment describes the person. We put on garments of praise because we have been called out of darkness to proclaim his praises. We are joined to him who is love. The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts and we choose with an act of will to clothe ourselves in love behavior. The energy of the Spirit connects our behavior with our true selves in Christ and our whole being is drawn into line. There were many wars in the Old Testament. We will never understand until we understand the spiritual principles behind them. Then we will see that they are echoed in the New Testament. The Christian life can be summed up as the consciousness that he lives within us and we draw upon his infinite life in every situation we find ourselves in. This means as we grow in Christ and mature, we will have an increasing sense of our own weakness. The Christian life is a fight. It's not a war of physically fighting but this is a war of faith. The weapon of this warfare is faith. Faith has an object. The object of faith is the character of God as revealed in Jesus Christ that God is love. God expressed that love in the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. We know that satan has been defeated. So why then is he still around? He has been left around so that you, by this fight of faith, will come to the fullest potential of faith, that you will grow up. You will find out what being a human being of the new creation is all about. You will discover the boundaries of Christ and the unlimitedness of Christ living in you. You will become established. The phrase "in Christ" indicates we are vitally in and part of the historical events that took place in Jesus by the Holy Spirit. We have actually been joined and made one with Christ, so that his history is our history. We are one with him in all that he has accomplished and all that he is now in the heavens. The christian life is the continual act of remaining in him, dwelling in him, being aware of him as our life and perservering in this relationship. It is choosing to be present to him who is committed to always be present with us. The age of death is over because a human being rose from the dead never to die again. Which means death has died and a new order called life has entered in. "Kairos" the time of the "End" because God himself has accomplished his end, his goal. He did it in one man and that man is Jesus. Love that has achieved it's end and has carried mankind out of death into the heart of God. It's a new day, the Lord's Day, the 8th day. When he rose from the dead, he has the scars in his body of all your abuse and sin. But they are scars that shine radiant with triumphant glory because he lives. If he is alive then death died and sin and guilt are gone. The sting of death has been removed. There is no poison in a scar. Isa 63:9 In all their affliction, he was afflicted. The essence of the lie is separation. Man believes he can separate himself from God. We must repent of the lie. God was with us all the time.
